  • Fascinating insights

When launched in 2008 the PanoInverse was the first timepiece from Glashütte Original that revealed its inner beauty openly, by lifting an extraordinary element from the hidden interior to the visible surface of the watch. As a result the innovative duplex swan-neck fine adjustment was revealed to the observer at first glance.

  • Richly detailed decorations

The beauty of the PanoInverse is already clearly visible on the dial side: delicate, brilliant gold chatons, which are mounted with blued screws to the three-quarter plate with Glashütte stripes; Arabic numerals, graceful indexes and blued steel hands; an elegant power reserve display, and the galvanic silver duplex swan-neck fine adjustment.

  • Innovative power

The unusual design of the PanoInverse gives the duplex swan-neck fine adjustment a well-earned place of honour. Its purpose, after all, is to ensure an extremely precise regulation of the rate and beat. The evident beauty of this functional element inspired the engineers to develop this innovative design of the manually wound movement.

A watchmaking challenge

In order to implement the idea of the PanoInverse it was necessary to rework a number of existing components and subassemblies and to develop new ones – a challenge that Glashütte Original's watchmakers proved unable to resist.

More about the manufactory

Perfecting precision

Precision is one of the most important characteristics of a Glashütte Original. As a consequence, the brand continues to develop regulation systems that permit even minimal rate deviations to be corrected. Among these are the duplex swan-neck fine adjustment, to which the PanoInverse gives pride of place.
