The PanoLunarTourbillon – Limited Edition combines supreme craftsmanship and technical sophistication. The mechanical masterpiece is housed in a 40 mm platinum case and is limited to 25 pieces. The sapphire crystal case back reveals the beauty of characteristic features of Glashütte watchmaking such as Glashütte stripes and sunray finishes, blued screws, bevelled and polished edges. This exquisite timepiece is fitted with a blue Louisiana Alligator leather strap and foldover clasp in platinum.
Splendid engravings executed by hand extend across the surface of the galvanic silver dial and the back of the movement. Glashütte Original’s engravers wield a burin to decorate the solid gold dial blanks freehand, without the use of a pattern. The filigree decorations are not merely evidence of an enduring tradition, but give each and every watch its completely unique character.
Among the off-centre displays on the left side are the auxiliary dial for hour and minute as well as the Flying Tourbillon with seconds hand. More than 100 years ago, Glashütte master watchmaker Alfred Helwig gave the appearance of weightlessness to one of the most elaborate complications in haute horlogerie by mounting the tourbillon carriage on one side only. An elaborate moon phase display and the watchmaker’s signature Panorama Date feature in the right half of the dial.
The PanoLunarTourbillon is powered by the manufacture’s own automatic movement Calibre 93-12. This exquisite watch for men features a 48-hour power reserve and a completely integrated moon phase mechanism. The skeletonized rotor, positioned off-centre, has an oscillating mass in 21 carat gold. A screw-mounted decorative plate presents the engraved lettering “Flying Tourbillon”. With its eight regulation screws and ten weighted screws, the oscillating system delivers exceptional rate precision.
