The case of this striking chronograph with counter function is made of polished stainless steel and has a diameter of 44 mm. The sapphire crystal case back offers an unobstructed view of the elaborately finished manufacture movement Calibre 96-02 with automatic winding. This mechanical timepiece is water resistant to 5 bar and fitted with a Louisiana Alligator leather strap, which provides both elegance and comfort for the wearer.

The PanoMaticCounter XL presents its innovative counter function in an elegant and effective manner. Red numerals appear on a black ground in a window positioned at 9 o’clock. The wearer activates the counter using one of three pushers on the left side of the case. The plus pusher moves the count forward, one unit at a time, from 00 to 99. The minus pusher counts down one unit at a time, and the zero pusher resets the mechanism to zero (00).

The dial of this timepiece is galvanised black, the fascinating 3D effect results from the separately mounted dial ring of the stop-second in the upper half. In the bottom half of the dial one finds the hour and minute display with numerals, hour markers and hands in white gold. Directly opposite the counter window, at 3 o’clock, is the visually compelling Panorama Date with white numerals on a black ground. The large stop-second display is flanked by the small seconds and a 30-minute counter, whose zero points have been rotated 60° to ensure optimum legibility.

The Calibre 96-01 is an exceptional example of German engineering art – a classic column-wheel chronograph with flyback function. Comprised of 584 individually crafted components, the movement is based on the award-winning Glashütte Original Caliber 95. Its patented bilateral winding mechanism uses step gears to transmit energy quickly and efficiently to the movement and enables an ‘intelligent’ accommodation of the automatic winding to the wearer’s movements.
